Top 10 Review: Malta (Michela - Chameleon)

Definitely, it seems that Malta loves chameleons. In 2016 they chose Ira Losco as the representative with the song "Chameleon" but finally the Maltese television channel PBS changed the song almost at the last moment

and they finally performed "Walk on water" in Stockholm. In fact, this is the last time the country has reached the final after they failed to qualify in the semifinals in 2017 and 2018. However it seems that the Maltese were left wanting more and they present us, their new "Chameleon" for Eurovision. The interpreter, Michela Pace, was chosen to represent the island with only 18 years old after winning the first edition of the well-known reality show X Factor in Malta.

Michela presents us with a fresh uptempo song, tropical, carefree and, above all, very catchy. The refrain is very simple, but it is effective and stays on the first listen. Is this the year of Malta? We will see it in Tel Aviv.
